01 Who we are

RedactPro is made by Osquare. The legal entity is O Square Technologies, registered at R121, Industrial Area, Phase 8B, Mohali, Punjab, India.

For anything about this policy, write to hello@osquare.tech. A person reads it.

02 The app and your documents

RedactPro reads, analyses and redacts your files on the computer it is installed on. Your documents, the text inside them and the personal information it finds are never sent to us or to anyone else. We have no server that could receive them.

On your computer the app keeps, in its own private folder: a history of the jobs you ran, the certificates it signed, your settings, and an index of document text used by the search box. It stays on your computer and you can delete it at any time.

The redacted file, its certificate and any inventory you export are saved where you choose. They are yours.

03 What the app sends

• During the beta: nothing, with one exception you start yourself. On a computer without Microsoft Word, opening a Word file asks you to download a free converter once. That download is a plain file request; it carries no document and no information about you beyond what any download carries (your IP address).
• On a paid plan, later: the app will check its licence. That check sends the licence key and an identifier for the computer, and nothing else. It works offline for 14 days between checks.

The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising code.

04 This website

redactpro.legal sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. To show the pages, your browser fetches fonts from Google Fonts and an animation library from cdnjs (operated by Cloudflare); each receives your IP address and standard request data. The web server may keep standard access logs for security, for a short period.

05 When you write to us

If you email us, for example to get the beta link, we keep your email address and message to reply to you and to send what you asked for. We do not add you to a mailing list or share your address with anyone. Ask us to delete it and we will.

06 Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete any information we hold about you. Email hello@osquare.tech; there is no charge. We handle information under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and will honour a reasonable request made under the law of the country you live in.

We make no claim to hold a privacy or security certification of any kind.

07 Changes

If what the app or this site sends ever changes, this page changes first, with a new date at the top.
